BCL leader indicted in Khadiza attack case
jamuna news : A Sylhet court today indicted suspended BCL leader Badrul Alam, the lone accused in the case filed for attacking college student Khadiza Begum Nargis over a month ago.
Judge Saifuzzaman Hiru of Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court fixed December 5 for starting the trial of the case with deposition, after framing charges.
Earlier on November 8, Sub-Inspector (SI) Harunur Rashid of Shah Poran Police Station of the city, also the Investigation Officer (IO) of the case, pressed charges against Badrul.
The court took the charges in cognisance on November 15.
Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) unit of the ruling Awami League-backed student body Chhatra League assistant general secretary Badrul Alam hacked Khadiza on October 3 when she came out of her examination hall at Murari Chand College in Sylhet city.
Locals nabbed the sole perpetrator from the spot and handed him over to police.
